Carbon Monoxide Alarms

Carbon Monoxide Alarms

Fixed combustion appliances such as boilers, space heaters and fires all have the potential to cause carbon monoxide poisoning.

In Scotland, the legislation states that in all domestic properties, including privately owned homes, carbon monoxide alarms must be fitted in any room that contains a fixed combustion appliance (excluding gas cookers).

A recent report from Which? found that many cheaper, unbranded carbon monoxide alarms have failed to go off when exposed to the gas, or have a quieter alarm sound than the minimum standard required, therefore, it is important to have a reliable CO alarm fitted in your property.

If you would like to renew you carbon monoxide alarms, or indeed fit additional ones, then please do not heistate to contact us.
