Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO)

Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO)

Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO), also known as bio-oil, has long since been talked about as an alternative to the traditional heating oil, kerosene.

This will significantly reduce carbon emissions in off-main gas areas, where hydrogen as a fuel type may not be an option. It would contribute towards the greening of the oil supply, either as a blended version mixed with kerosene or 100% bio-oil alternative.

Our partners at Worcester Bosch are currently developing a range of oil-fired boilers that use HVO as an alternative to Kerosene. As the cost and availability becomes more viable, HVO will be able to reach its market potential as a home heating fuel.

Their trials are at an advanced stage, and we will inform you of further developments as we hear about them.

We are confident that we will be in a prime position to offer a HVO-ready product in the very near future.
